We've all been there. You find a great article, try to save it, and end up with a mess of broken formatting, missing images, and garbled links. Or you need to quickly convert between HTML and Markdown without installing anything.

LiteMarkdown is a free collection of lightweight online utilities that help you convert, edit, and preview Markdown. No signup, no limits — tools that just work.

Under the hood, we use Mozilla Readability — the same engine behind Firefox Reader View — to extract the main content of a page, stripping away ads, navigation, and clutter.

The clean HTML is then converted to Markdown using Turndown with GitHub Flavored Markdown support. Special handling is applied for WeChat articles, including image proxy and CJK-aware formatting.

We don't store your URLs, content, or any personal data. The conversion happens on the server and the result is sent directly to your browser. Nothing is saved after the request completes.
